Syck and the Wooden Boy / Real Boy Syndrome
After squashing a number of memory leaks in Syck over the past few days, I’m now to the point where Syck has to become a real living piece of software. All I have right now is a shared library with extensions. And two of the extensions consist of a single function. The Ruby extension contains considerably more, but still isn’t cohesive.
YAML.rb is a vase that has now been smashed and I’m trying to build stained glass windows from it. I’ve cut the pieces. Now I just need to glue it all together. Make some magic to turn this wooden boy into… (see title.)
I’m going to take a notepad to Coachella. I need to hash this out on vacation.
