You Want To Unlock The iPhone 5? Well Read on…
I want to share some of my knowledge with you today. I’ve been using iPhone 5 unlocking services for a while now not only to unlock my own iPhone but the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s’ of my friends and family too.
I’m sure you’ve heard of unlocking. It basically means that you can use your iPhone abroad on a local network or you can switch networks easily at home just by putting in another SIM card. So no more errors or zero signal, and all of this can be completed with a quick and easy iPhone 5 unlock that anyone can purchase and use.
First of all I better tell you about some of the ways in which people try and unlock their iPhone 5 before showing you the correct way – IMEI unlocking.
Option number one: Software unlock which doesn’t work
I’ve fallen for this scam. Actually I’ll let you in on a secret – I have fallen for this scam twice. It consists of great looking software that doesn’t work and is only designed to get your money. Please don’t fall into the same trap as me and fall for this. Avoid unlocking software for the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s at all costs.
Option number two: Hardware unlocking which will void your warranty
This method will actually unlock your iPhone 5, 5c and 5s but it takes that long that it is hardly worth it. You need to go onto eBay and order a new SIM card try from China but this can take weeks to be delivered. Then you need to install it yourself which will void your warranty and mean that Apple won’t even look at your iPhone is something is wrong with it. It’ll work but it is best to avoid it.
Option number three: Network or IMEI unlocking which does work
If you want my advice then IMEI unlocking is the best way in which to unlock your iPhone 5, 5c and 5s. It takes the unique number that is associated with your device and puts it onto the global whitelist database that Apple holds of all the unlocked iPhone’s in the world. Really quick and a service like those listed below can do this for you without any problems.
You’ll get an email within 24 hours explaining that the process has been completed and that you can now use your iPhone or another network.
While some cell carriers have started to offer this option themselves they charge a ridiculously high amount when compared to the services I have recommended below.
So now that you know what unlocking is and what methods you should avoid, here are the top 3 services that I have used to unlock the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s.
1. iUnlock Pro – The best IMEI unlocking service on the internet
Before you read any further you should know that these guys provide the most complete iPhone 5 unlocking service available at the minute.
The company isn’t new and iUnlock Pro have been unlocking iPhone’s for several generations of the device and this includes the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s. Indeed many of my family and friends have used these guys.
When I first used them I started the process on a Friday night. No way would this be completed until at least Tuesday I thought. However on Saturday morning I was surprised to find an email to say that my iPhone 5 was now unlocked. iUnlock Pro really are ahead of the game here.
I also contacted their customer support with a few basic questions. I was apprehensive after my experience with the software unlocked but they explained the whole process to me and what was going to happen and I felt much better afterwards.
You can find them here and iUnlock Pro are my recommended choice if you are going to get an unlock for the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s.
2. Apple Unlocker
Now, onto my second choice for iPhone 5 unlocking. Apple Unlocker doesn’t have as great a customer support teams as iUnlock Pro do and their website is actually quite hard to navigate.
I wouldn’t mind using them as a backup however they don’t accept some payment methods either, so this brings their score down and further reiterates why iUnlock Pro are the best service to use.
That being said, they will unlock the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s and will do it fairly quickly is not a little longer than my first pick. Find Apple Unlocker here if you are interested in their services.
3. IMEI Codes
IMEI Codes is my final iPhone 5 unlocking alternative to iUnlock Pro. Maybe alternative is the wrong word; back up is more like it.
They will unlock the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s however don’t expect a quick unlock or a detailed email answer to any of your questions. It is a no frills unlocking service that should only be used if my other two picks aren’t available.
iUnlock Pro is far better however you can find their site here if you want to find out more about them.
So thanks for reading his short review and I hope that you have learned that:
1. Software unlocking for the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s isn’t going to work at all.
2. Hardware unlocking for the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s is a lot of trouble in the end.
3. IMEI unlocking for the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s is the best and easiest way to unlock the device
4. The I have listed three unlocking services here but iUnlock Pro is the best.
Thanks ever so much for reading this guide. I really hope that it helps you to get your iPhone 5, 5c and 5s unlocked and I trust you will follow my advice.
An unlocked iPhone is a fantastic device and with these 3 services I have listed it is not difficult to have it completed.
