Packet Too Chunky on Port 0xBAC0 #

by why in bits

If you’re in Firefox, you’ll want to Ctrl+- on murphy’s 0xCB server, which runs on port 203. If you’re dumbfounded by it, he has some notes. This would be a great thing to print inside the book’s jacket.

Other developments: ice cream is evolving in the same direction. Also, robots. (Thanks, Bil, Aaron, murph. This is a very important work. I’ve always been afraid that in the age of technology, bacon would be forgot. But people like you help me day by day by day by day by day by day by effortless day.)

Awesome. You’ll need to sudo ruby if you’re on Unix, 203 isn’t a port just anybody can use. It’s a privilege, not a right.

Less cult, more golf:

require'socket';s=TCPServer.new 80;loop{c=s.accept;c<<"\n"+IO.read(
c.gets[/\/(.*) /,1].gsub(/\.{2,}/){})rescue 404;c.close}

Oh my, Ruby really is Perl reincarnated.

Try this if you have your local Chunky Bacon server running.

The code is quite readable if you just print out what is being passed to eval.
