I can Apply!!! Almost as funny as this.

I cannot believe this is a real job posting.

This is not common in Germany. Actually, I’m pretty sure it’s against the law because it is some kind of discrimination.

I got an email a couple of weeks ago from that company. They promise hard work and will pay in equity… Additionally, some googling revealed that they try to monetize a “proven” astrological matchmaking process…. Figure they will match matching programmers only :-)

Oh my god, did you look at that abomination which is their website? Must be why they’re looking for someone with “Strong User Interface design skills, especially Web 2.0 and Ajax preferred.” Uh-huh.

No one ever said those dates had to fall in the same calendar year.

I was the one that approved that post. I was also wondering what kind of job that was. Unfortunately I don’t read german. Is that job real?

said on 19 Jan 2007 at 21:55

note that David Heinemeier Hansson was born in October, making him ineligible for the position. d’oh!

said on 19 Jan 2007 at 21:56

err actually not. whatever, still stupid.

Mehr Informationen hier.

Pardon my German.

I enraged that they discriminate against us cancers (June 29th)!

I had a D&D DM who would only accept players who were certain astrological signs, his issue was he wanted one of each, and some he already had one of. This could be similar (Already has the other 7, gotta collect em all)

Why is reading the job offers? Hard to believe, but just in case you like coming to berlin, drop me a mail.

I’m afraid their job offer is real, but Gabriella von Schadewitz is just plain nuts

Cancer. Crab. Sigh.

said on 20 Jan 2007 at 07:16

You are just jealous because you wish you were a Gemini like me. :D My friend and I have been laughing about it all week long. That woman posted it twice, the first time she allowed even less birthdays. Then realized that she cut me off and rectified her mistake.

said on 20 Jan 2007 at 12:22

YES ! I’m a Sagittarius!

said on 20 Jan 2007 at 18:09

Come on, why. The fringies are just getting fringier.

Me, I’m a Pig. At least that’s what the calendar on the placemat in the Chinese restaurant said.

I guess the job poster doesn’t realize that there’s a lot more to astrology than the over-wrought Solar Sign; Lunar & Ascendent are equally important to “understanding” a person. Followed quickly by Mercury & Venus.

The placement of Sun is just the easiest to figure out (what day is yer berfday?!)

said on 22 Jan 2007 at 20:24

DAMN !I cannot get a job there. It sounded like the management was so friendly and 100% competent and rational at what they do too!
